KCC Favorites? Laguna’s Own?

KCC has once again landed a top-tier resource in free agency. With the acquisition of versatile forward Choi Jun-yong, the team has become the No. 0 favorite to win the title.

KCC signed Choi to a free agent contract on Nov. 21 and held his induction ceremony on Nov. 22. With the addition of Choi, KCC now has a national team lineup of Heo Woong, Choi Jun-yong, and Lee Seung-hyun. If Song Kyo-chang returns from military service during the season, they will form an all-time big four.

The addition of Choi Jun-yong is undoubtedly effective. He’s a long forward, but he also has the ability to solve KCC’s No. 1 (point guard) problem. “From the outside, I felt like KCC didn’t organize their traffic. Now, I will organize traffic by giving them good passes,” Choi said, recognizing his role.먹튀검증

The biggest key to KCC’s leap forward is the resurgence of Ragan-ah. He started all 54 games this season, averaging 17.5 points and 11.8 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game. However, he was sidelined by SK’s Jamil Warney in the quarterfinals of the playoffs against SK, and KCC failed to advance to the semifinals. When Lagana, who was synonymous with consistency, went down, so did KCC’s performance.

With Lagana, KCC is subject to the foreign player salary cap ($450,000 for one player and $550,000 for two players). It’s hard to find a better “mercenary” than Lagana under these restrictions. In the end, Lagan-ah will have to play his part to make KCC a real powerhouse. That’s why Choi Jun-yong said at his signing press conference, “I will help him become the Ricardo Ratliff he was once feared to be.”
