SSG owner Jeong Yong-jin visits the Florida camp “When tenacity and faith become one, we will surpass last year’s Landers”

SSG Landers owner Jeong Yong-jin, vice chairman of Shinsegae Group (55), visited the spring camp site.

On the 12th (Korean time), Vice Chairman Jeong visited the SSG team in Vero Beach, Florida, USA, visited the training facility, and ate together. SSG, which was refounded by acquiring SK Wyverns in 2021, held a spring camp overseas for the first time this year in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19)메이저놀이터. Vero Beach is familiar to players as it has been used as a campground since the time of SK, but this is the first time Vice Chairman Chung has visited.

After touring facilities such as the clubhouse, weight training room, treatment room, baseball field, and indoor driving range, Vice Chairman Chung prepared a table for a meal with the players and club officials. A total of 94 people, including SSG coach Won-hyung Kim, coaching staff, players, and club officials, ate food prepared by Vice Chairman Chung, while SSG club CEO Min Kyung-sam, captain Hanyu-seom, and vice-president Jeong exchanged greetings and words of encouragement in order. Vice-Chairman Jeong provided menus such as lobster, ribs, and steak to the athletes.

Vice Chairman Jeong said, “It is my first overseas spring camp wearing a Landers uniform. I am happy to meet you all in the United States far away from Korea, and I am glad to welcome all new players and foreign players who have joined the team. I took a brief tour of the training facilities here, and it worked. I hope we have a facility where we can focus only on training more systematically like this place.”

SSG is in the position of the defending champion this season. There are many things to keep. Vice Chairman Jeong emphasized, “When you train healthy without getting hurt, and when your tenacity to win and trust in each other become one, you will surpass yourself and Landers last year.”
