“I hit it well because I was cheering for her.”

As 15-year tour veteran Kim Hae-rim (34) turned in her scorecard after the first round of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour’s OK Financial Group Eatman Open (total prize money: 800 million won), Seo Yeon-jeong (28) laughed as she credited her support.

Kim Hae-rim shot a 4-under 68 in the first round of the tournament at the Incheon Club 72 Sky Course (Par 72) on Aug. 15. It was her best performance since shooting a 67 in the first round of the Doosan E&C Weave Championship in early August.

Kim Hae-rim and Seo Yeon-jeong are rumored best friends on the tour. Two weeks ago, when Seo won the KG Ladies Open, her first win in 10 years as a professional and her first in 259 and 260, Hae-rim was one of the first to congratulate her.

Although Hae Rim is six years older than Seo, they live and train together in the same house.

Hae Rim, who has seven professional victories to Seo’s one, is a role model.

After winning the KG Ladies Open, Seo said, “I’ve been playing golf for 10 years, and there were times when I got bored,” adding, “My sincere sister (Kim) Hae-rim guided me a lot, so I was able to come this far without giving up on golf,” another driving force behind her victory.

Seo, who has been on a roll since the start of the second half of August, competing in six consecutive weeks, will take this week off to prepare for her next event. Seo wasn’t competing today, but she was at the golf course to cheer on her best friend, following her around for 18 holes.메이저놀이터

Although she was taking a break from golf for a while, watching her teammates compete was not in her mind.

“It’s not easy to follow them for all 18 holes,” she sighs briefly, then laughs, “When I saw them playing outside the course, I wanted to go in and play right away.” When the senior she was supporting finished with a good score, she said, “She played well because I was cheering for her,” and attributed Hae Rim’s performance today to her support. In response, Hae Rim said, “Let’s go eat,” and took care of her junior.
