Suwon Samsung Recruiting CB Han Ho-gang from J-League ‘In front of your eyes’
Suwon Samsung, which is promoting a rebuilding under manager Lee Byung-geun, is aiming to strengthen the defensive line by bringing in a tall Korean-Japanese center back.
An official in the transfer market said on the 10th, “Suwon, which was looking to secure additional central defenders, is on the verge of recruiting Jeonnam defender Han Ho-gang (30).”
He added, “Han Ho-gang went through ups and 스포츠토토downs when he first came to Korea last year, but the club believes that he will be able to display good skills if he improves his condition as he played in the first division of the J-League two years ago.”
Han Ho-gang, who was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1993 and has Korean nationality, joined Montedio Yamagata in the 2nd division of the J-League in 2016, but immediately went on loan to the 3rd division Blaublitz Akita and played until 2020.
Then, in 2021, he moved to Yokohama FC, the first division of the J-League, and played 24 games, playing as the main defender in the second half.
He made his debut in Korea after receiving a love call from Jeonnam, the second division that advanced to the Asian Football Confederation Champions League (ACL) last year, and played 20 games, including 5 ACL group stage games.
In 2020, the last season of Akita, Hogang Han scored 6 goals despite being a center back, and is known to have offensive power during set pieces.
Suwon has brought defenders from Japan such as Cho Seong-jin (2014), Choi Seong-geun (2017), Park Hyung-jin (2018), and Choi Jeong-won (2021) to reinforce the team.
