The much-talked-about confrontation really takes place. A kickboxing match between middleweight Hwang In-soo and heavyweight Myung Hyeon-man. Road FC’s first tournament starts
Road FC starts its first competition in 2023 with a splendid match.
Road FC will hold the Goobne ROAD FC 063 competition on the 25th at the Goyang Gymnasium. It is divided into part 1 and part 2, and it is full of interesting matches that arouse the curiosity of martial arts fans, raising expectations.
The main event of this tournament is attracting the most attention from martial arts fans. This is because ‘Road FC Middleweight Champion’ Hwang In-soo (29, FREE) and ‘standing champion’ Myung Hyeon-man (38, Myeong-hyeonman Multi Gym) face off in kickboxing. The two fighters have been fighting words since March of last year and creating a confrontational composition.
It started with Hwang In-soo. At the road FC fighting program <Real Fight> press conference, Hwang In-soo only mentioned Myeong-hyeon. When asked what he thought about the confrontation with Myung Hyun-man, Hwang In-soo replied, “Whether it’s boxing, standing, or MMA, I’m confident. I don’t have to match the weight class. If I sign a contract with Road FC, I can fight right away.” In response to Hwang In-soo’s provocation, Myung Hyeon-man expressed his intention to fight, and the two fighters finally faced each other.
Hwang In-soo is aiming for Myung Hyun-man’s title as the strongest player in standing, and Myung-hyun-man is aiming for a victory in the return match of Road FC after about 5 years.
The co-main event is also important. It is a Korea-Japan match related to the Road FC Global Quarterfinal Tournament starting this year. Yang Ji-yong (26, Jeju Team The King), who is on a메이저놀이터 six-fight winning streak, faces Japan’s Koki Hirasawa (25, FREE), and if Yang Ji-yong wins, he will receive a seed for the -63kg bantamweight tournament.
Yang Ji-yong has been mentioning that ‘Bantamweight Champion’ Moon Mun-hun’s place is his place since last year’s year-end competition, but he won this match and even provoked that he wanted to face Mun Mun-hun in the first match of the tournament.
Another Korea-Japan match is also being prepared. It is a match between Bae Dong-hyeon (38, Team Finish), a former soccer player and ‘Father Fighter’, and Japan’s Sekino Taisei (23, FREE). The two fighters also dissed each other through interviews before the match.
Bae Dong-hyun said, “There is a saying that you can’t lose even with rock-paper-scissors in the Korea-Japan match. I’m going to finish it in the first round. I’ll show you why Road FC is strong.” To Donghyun Bae’s words, Sekino Taisei responded by saying, “The opponent is also tough, so it will be a tough match.
There are also games where active police officers make their debut. This is Lee Jae-won (36, Team Strongwolf), a ‘police officer fighter’ working at the Songpa Police Station. Lee Jae-won, who appeared in <Real Fight> and competed with Kwon Ah-sol on an equal footing, also has experience in subduing criminals with mixed martial arts. He has steadily practiced mixed martial arts and currently serves as a martial arts instructor at the Songpa Police Station. To prove the strength of a Korean police officer, he faces off against rookie Wi Jung-won (19, Namyangju Team Finish).
Goobne Road FC 063 is divided into parts 1 and 2, starting at 4pm and 6pm respectively. Live TV broadcasting will be conducted on Spotify, and live online broadcasting will be conducted on Daum Sports, Kakao TV, and Afreeca TV.
