‘Young Gun 3’ Lim Dong-hyuk, Jeong Han-yong, Kim Min-jae “I will learn a lot and do better”
Men’s professional volleyball national team’s three young guns, Lim Dong-hyuk (24), Jeong Han-yong (22), and Kim Min-jae (20), together with their team, Korean Air, will conquer Asia.
Korean Air will represent Korea at the 2023 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship, which opens in Manama, Bahrain on the 14th (local time). Korean Air, assigned to Group A, will play its first match against Australia on the 14th and play 7 matches over 8 days until the 21st.
Setter Han and middle blocker Kim Gyu-min will not play in order to adjust their condition. Foreign player Lincoln Williams, the main gun, also did not join. Apposite spiker Lim Dong-hyuk, outside hitter Jeong Han-yong, and middle blocker Kim Min-jae have become more important.
Lim Dong-hyuk said, “Although he is not very old, he seems to have to take responsibility as the team’s ace. There is synergy between the older brothers, but there is also synergy among younger players, so if we use it well, I think we will be able to achieve good results in this tournament.”

Jeong Han-yong said, “This tournament is a great opportunity for us as well. I will prepare well,” he said. “Even if it is not a win, it will be a very good experience. Dmitri Mushalsky of Japan’s Suntory Sunbirds, who is considered the world’s best in the same position, will participate in this tournament. This tournament is an international tournament hosted by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). Men’s volleyball clubs from Asian countries representing 16 countries, including Korea, Australia, Bahrain, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Taiwan, Afghanistan, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Yemen, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Hong Kong and Kuwait, will participate.
